Three Community Shops
We operated three community shops that offered low-cost clothing, household items, and furniture. These shops created a friendly space where local people could find affordable essentials while supporting our wider community projects.

Clothing and Bedding Van Outreach – Across Leeds
We also ran a Clothing Van Outreach, taking free clothes and Bedding directly into different communities around Leeds. The van allowed us to reach people who struggled to travel or afford essentials. As well as clothing, these visits offered conversation, connection, and a visible reminder that someone cared.

Christmas Day Community Dinner
For many years, Personal Bridge hosted a special Christmas Day dinner for people who would otherwise have spent the day alone. Local community centres generously opened their kitchens and premises, allowing us to create a welcoming space filled with good food, warmth, and companionship. Volunteers cooked, served, and sat with guests, making sure everyone felt valued and included. The project brought comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging at a time when it was needed most.

Preparing and Referring People to Rehabs
Personal Bridge supported individuals who were ready to break free from addiction by helping them prepare for residential rehabilitation. We offered practical guidance, emotional support, and assessments, and we referred people to trusted programmes such as Teen Challenge, New Hope, and Gideon House. Our aim was to walk alongside each person through the early steps of change, giving them hope, stability, and a clear pathway into long-term recovery.
