Personal Bridge believes that finances should not prevent someone from accessing professional counselling.
Since developing our counselling service in February 2026, we have grown from a small team in Bradford into a developing network of qualified counsellors and student counsellors across England.
And we are still growing.

Growing Beyond Bradford
Personal Bridge has its roots in Bradford, but our counselling network is now reaching much further.
Our qualified counsellors and student counsellors are currently based across:
Bradford • Leeds • Weston-Super-Mare • West Sussex • East Sussex • Woking • Dorking • Dorset • Rickmansworth • Watford • Stevenage • Coventry • Manchester • Harpenden and many more locations
Through online counselling, our geographical location does not have to determine who we can support.
As local partnerships develop, we also want to create further opportunities for face-to-face counselling.
Experienced Professionals in Training
Many of our student counsellors are lifelong learners who bring significant professional and life experience into their counselling training.
Alongside studying towards their counselling qualification, members of our team include experienced and qualified professionals from backgrounds such as wellbeing services, social work, health and social care, and other helping professions.
This means that while they are training specifically as counsellors, many already have years of experience supporting people through complex circumstances, working professionally with individuals and families, and understanding the importance of safe, compassionate and person-centred support. At Personal Bridge, we value both professional experience and continued learning. Our student counsellors practise within the boundaries of their counselling training, receive appropriate clinical supervision, and are supported as they develop towards qualification.
Developing Future Counsellors
Personal Bridge does more than provide affordable counselling.
We also provide opportunities for counselling students to gain the clinical experience they need as they work towards professional qualification.
Students have joined Personal Bridge from a growing number of counselling training providers, including:
Barnsley University Leeds City College Yorkshire Counselling College, Shipley University Centre Weston, Weston-super-Mare Astranti Connect Waverley Abbey College
Our students include practitioners developing through Person-Centred counselling and various Integrative Approaches incorporating CBT, Psychodynamics, attachment theories, Geshalt and more.
Training Levels from Diploma up to and including Degree and Masters Level. By supporting students to develop safe and appropriate caseloads, we are helping future counsellors gain experience while increasing the amount of affordable counselling available to people who need it.
Affordable Counselling
Private counselling can be financially out of reach for many people.
Personal Bridge operates a pay-what-you-can-afford model from £5–£35 per session.
Our aim is simple:
Your financial circumstances should not be the reason you cannot access counselling.
Our counselling service is available to people across the UK online, with face-to-face counselling available in some locations.
One Team, Different Approaches

Our team includes both qualified counsellors and student counsellors working under appropriate professional supervision.
Different approaches and different backgrounds are welcomed.
What brings our team together is a commitment to ethical, compassionate and professional counselling.
Our Christian Foundation
Personal Bridge was founded from a Christian vision and ethos, with values of compassion, dignity, service, hope and restoration at the heart of our work.
However, not all of our counsellors are Christian, and clients do not need to have any particular faith or belief to access counselling through Personal Bridge.
Our counselling service is open to everyone.
Our Christian foundation motivates us to serve people; it is not a condition of receiving support or joining our counselling team.
Why “Personal Bridge”?
Sometimes counselling is what someone needs.
Sometimes they need another organisation, service or form of support.
We do not believe one organisation needs to do everything.
We want Personal Bridge to help make the right connections.

Still Growing
In February 2026, this stage of Personal Bridge began 4 counsellors.
Today we have a team of 20 counsellors both qualified counsellors and student counsellors.
Our current team has the potential to provide approximately 3,120 counselling sessions a year.
But behind every number is a person.
